Refund Policy

RiftRec's core desktop recording features are currently free to use. This policy explains how refunds will be handled if RiftRec offers paid products, paid storage, paid review features, or other paid services.
1. Current Status
At the time of this policy, RiftRec does not require a paid subscription for core recording features. If you have not made a payment, there is nothing to refund.
2. Future Paid Services
If paid services become available, the price, billing period, renewal behavior, storage or upload limits, and cancellation details will be shown before checkout. Payment processing may be handled by Paddle or another payment provider.
3. Refund Requests
If you purchase a paid RiftRec service in the future and believe you were charged in error or the service did not work as described, contact support@riftrec.app with your account email, order ID, and a short explanation.
We will review refund requests case by case. Where required by law, we will provide refunds or cancellation rights according to the applicable consumer protection rules.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
Unless the law requires otherwise, we may decline refunds for:
- Abuse of upload, storage, sharing, or review features.
- Accounts suspended for violating the Terms of Service.
- Partial billing periods after a paid service has been used.
- Problems caused by unsupported hardware, unsupported regions, local file deletion, or third-party service outages outside our control.
5. Cancellations
If recurring paid services are introduced, cancellation instructions will be available in the product or through the payment provider. Cancelling prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges unless required by law or approved by support.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a billing issue, contact us first so we can investigate. Chargebacks may cause account access to be limited while the dispute is reviewed by the payment provider.
