Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains cancellations and refunds for RiftRec paid plans, including Review Pro and any paid storage, upload, or review-room features.
1. Free Features
RiftRec's local desktop recording features may be offered for free. If you have not made a payment, there is nothing to refund.
2. Paid Services
Paid services may include Review Pro, cloud storage, video uploads, private review rooms, voice/chat collaboration, timestamped notes, drawing tools, coaching workflows, and related online review features. The checkout page will show the payment provider, price, billing period, renewal behavior, storage or upload limits, and cancellation details before purchase.
3. 14-Day Refund Window
You may request a refund within 14 days of your first purchase or renewal if the paid service does not work as described or you were charged in error. Contact help@riftrec.app with your account email, order ID, purchase date, and a short explanation.
If the payment provider or Merchant of Record offers a different mandatory refund process, that provider's checkout and support flow may control how the refund is processed.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
Unless the law requires otherwise, we may decline refunds for:
- Refund requests made after the 14-day refund window.
- Abuse of upload, storage, sharing, or review features.
- Accounts suspended for violating the Terms of Service.
- Fraud, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, or attempts to bypass plan limits.
- Large storage, upload, or bandwidth use after purchase.
- Partial billing periods after a subscription has been used, unless required by law.
- Problems caused by unsupported hardware, unsupported regions, local file deletion, or third-party service outages outside our control.
5. Cancellations
You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time through the account, app, checkout, or payment-provider controls made available to you. Cancelling prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law or approved under this policy.
After cancellation, paid features may remain available until the end of the paid billing period, unless the account is suspended for abuse, fraud, legal risk, or Terms violations.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a billing issue, contact us first so we can investigate. Chargebacks may cause account access to be limited while the dispute is reviewed by the payment provider or Merchant of Record.
