This Privacy Policy explains what RiftRec collects, stores, and processes when you use the desktop app and online Review service.

2. Data Processed Locally by riftrec.exe
The desktop app may process the following on your computer:
- Video and audio captured from your selected recording source.
- Local file paths, file size, recording duration, codec settings, and app settings.
- League-related review metadata such as champion, KDA, match timeline, item builds, teams, game result, and game duration.
- Click and mouse movement coordinates during a recording, when the feature is active.
- App logs and diagnostic information needed to troubleshoot recording, upload, and sync issues.
This local data is used to run the app, show your Videos tab, build replay overlays, and make uploads possible. Local recordings and sidecar metadata are not sent to us unless you upload or use an online feature that sends them.
3. Data Stored on RiftRec Servers
When you create an account or use online Review features, we may store:
- Account information such as username, display name, email address, password hash, login timestamps, and account settings.
- Uploaded clips, thumbnails, file size, duration, title, champion, queue or play type, and upload status.
- Clip metadata such as match summary, KDA data, timeline data, click data, League client match data, and team/player stats used for review cards.
- Review rooms, invite tokens, members, roles, timestamp notes, drawings, live-session state, and room activity needed to sync coach/player review sessions.
- Friend, group, block, report, notification, comment, like, and collection data if you use social features.
- Security and operational logs such as IP address, user agent, request time, rate-limit events, and errors.
We do not publish your private clips by default. Sharing, friend, group, and room settings determine who can access uploaded content.
4. Payments
RiftRec does not currently require payment for core recording features. If paid products are introduced, payments may be processed by Paddle or another payment provider. We do not need your full card number. Payment providers may share transaction status, customer identifiers, billing email, country, tax information, and subscription or purchase status so we can provide the purchased service.
5. How We Use Data
We use data to:
- Provide recording, upload, streaming, review-room, notes, drawings, and social features.
- Show match cards, champion icons, items, KDA, teams, results, timelines, and click overlays.
- Maintain account security, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and investigate reports.
- Debug crashes, failed uploads, sync problems, and playback issues.
- Communicate with you about support, safety, legal, or service notices.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
We share data only as needed to operate RiftRec, comply with law, protect users, or provide features you choose. Uploaded clips may be accessible to people with a valid share link, invited room members, accepted friends, groups, or other audiences selected in the product.
We may use infrastructure providers for hosting, databases, object storage, email, logging, analytics, and payment processing. These providers process data for us and are not allowed to use it for their own unrelated purposes.
7. Retention and Deletion
We keep account and uploaded content while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete uploaded clips from the product. When a clip is deleted, we remove active access to the clip and associated metadata, subject to temporary backups, logs, abuse records, and legal obligations.

8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including authentication, access controls, rate limits, input validation, and encrypted HTTPS connections. No system is perfectly secure, so you should keep your account credentials private and avoid sharing private room links with people you do not trust.
9. International Processing
RiftRec may process and store data in countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the service, you understand that data may be transferred outside your country when needed to provide the service.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to processing of your personal data. Contact support@riftrec.app to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
11. Children's Privacy
RiftRec is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to use online services in their region. If you believe a child has provided personal data without proper permission, contact us.
