1. Introduction / Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RiftRec, including the RiftRec Windows desktop application, Tauri app, websites, online review features, upload tools, review rooms, voice/chat collaboration, subscription features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, subscribing to, or using RiftRec, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use RiftRec.

RiftRec is operated by NAOHEZI LLC ("NAOHEZI," "RiftRec," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Service Description

RiftRec is a desktop gameplay recording and VOD review platform. It helps users record their own League of Legends gameplay, save recordings locally, upload gameplay videos, create private review rooms, add timestamped notes, use drawing/review tools, and collaborate with coaches, friends, or teammates through voice, chat, and shared review workflows.

RiftRec is a gameplay recording and review tool only. RiftRec does not automate gameplay, modify League of Legends or the Riot client, interfere with anti-cheat systems, sell game accounts, sell gameplay services, or provide competitive integrity violations.

3. Eligibility

You may use RiftRec only if you are legally able to enter into these Terms and use the Service in your location. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use RiftRec only with consent and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for making sure your use of RiftRec complies with Riot Games rules, game platform rules, copyright laws, privacy laws, and all local laws that apply to you.

4. Accounts

Some RiftRec features may require an account, including uploads, sharing, review rooms, friends, groups, storage, subscription features, or online collaboration. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it current.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@riftrec.app if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We may require email verification, identity checks, anti-abuse checks, or other security steps before enabling certain online features.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments

RiftRec may offer optional paid plans for features such as cloud storage, uploads, private review rooms, voice/chat review sessions, timestamped notes, drawing tools, coaching workflows, or other online services. Paid plans are optional unless a specific feature is marked as requiring payment.

When you purchase a paid plan, you are buying access to RiftRec software and online review services as described at checkout. You are not buying League of Legends accounts, gameplay services, game modifications, or any Riot Games product.

Payments are processed by the payment provider or Merchant of Record shown at checkout. The checkout page will show the provider, price, currency, billing period, applicable taxes, renewal terms, and other purchase details before you complete payment.

If a subscription renews automatically, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Taxes may be calculated and collected based on your billing location and applicable law. If your payment fails, we may retry the charge, ask you to update payment details, limit paid features, downgrade your plan, or suspend access to paid services.

Plan changes, upgrades, downgrades, storage changes, and feature changes may take effect immediately or at the next billing period, depending on the terms shown at checkout or in your account settings.

6. Refund and Cancellation Policy

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through the available account, checkout, or payment-provider controls. Cancellation stops future renewals, but it does not necessarily refund the current billing period or immediately remove access to paid features.

Refund requests are handled according to our Refund Policy, the checkout terms, applicable consumer protection laws, and the rules of the payment provider or Merchant of Record. Our standard refund window is 14 days unless a different period is required by law or stated at checkout.

Where allowed by law, refunds may be denied for fraud, abuse, chargeback abuse, violation of these Terms, misuse of storage or upload features, or other behavior that creates legal, security, or operational risk.

7. User Content and Recordings

"User Content" means any content or information you create, upload, submit, store, send, display, or share through RiftRec. This includes gameplay videos, clips, audio, voice recordings, notes, comments, drawings, uploaded files, profile information, room messages, chat messages, review-room activity, metadata, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and related materials.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By using RiftRec, you grant NAOHEZI LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, store, copy, transcode, display, transmit, stream, and make your User Content available only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service, including uploads, playback, sharing, review rooms, notes, drawings, storage, moderation, and support.

You represent that you have all rights, permissions, and consents needed to upload, share, record, or transmit your User Content through RiftRec. You are responsible for your User Content and for how you share it.

8. Recording, Voice, Chat, and Privacy Responsibilities

RiftRec may allow you to record gameplay, audio, voice chat, microphone audio, system audio, text chat, review-room messages, notes, drawings, or other collaboration activity. You are responsible for complying with all laws, platform rules, and consent requirements that apply to recording, uploading, sharing, or reviewing that content.

You should not record, upload, or share private communications, voice conversations, personal information, or sensitive content without consent where consent is required by law or platform rules.

RiftRec may provide privacy controls such as private rooms, share links, upload settings, deletion tools, or visibility settings. You are responsible for choosing the correct settings and for sharing room links or uploaded videos only with people you trust.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use RiftRec to do, support, encourage, or attempt any of the following:

• Use, distribute, advertise, or facilitate unauthorized gameplay assistance, gameplay automation, exploit tools, or other competitive integrity violations.
• Modify, interfere with, bypass, reverse engineer, or attack League of Legends, the Riot client, anti-cheat systems, third-party services, or any game platform.
• Offer or participate in account sales, gameplay services, match-result manipulation, unauthorized real-money competitive activity, or other unauthorized commercial activity.
• Upload, store, share, or transmit illegal, infringing, hateful, abusive, harassing, sexually exploitative, violent, privacy-violating, defamatory, or otherwise harmful content.
• Record or share private communications, personal data, or identifying information without consent where consent is required.
• Scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, abuse APIs, bypass rate limits, probe security, attack infrastructure, overload systems, or disrupt the Service.
• Upload malware, spam, phishing content, fraudulent content, or deceptive links.
• Commit payment fraud, subscription fraud, refund fraud, or chargeback abuse.
• Impersonate Riot Games, RiftRec, NAOHEZI LLC, coaches, creators, teams, or other users.
• Use RiftRec in a way that violates Riot Games terms, game platform rules, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws.

10. Intellectual Property

RiftRec, including its software, websites, user interface, design, branding, logos, features, systems, code, technology, documentation, and related materials, is owned by NAOHEZI LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.

Except as allowed by these Terms, applicable law, or open-source licenses that apply to specific components, you may not copy, modify, distribute, resell, sublicense, lease, host, reverse engineer, decompile, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit RiftRec or any part of the Service.

Open-source components, third-party libraries, and third-party assets remain subject to their own licenses and notices.

11. Riot Games / League of Legends Disclaimer

RiftRec is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc. League of Legends, Riot Games, and all associated names, trademarks, logos, characters, game assets, and related properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

RiftRec is an independent gameplay recording and review tool. References to League of Legends or Riot Games are for compatibility, identification, and descriptive purposes only.

12. Third-Party Services

RiftRec may use third-party services for payments, hosting, object storage, databases, analytics, authentication, email, communications, customer support, crash reporting, security, CDN delivery, voice/chat infrastructure, or other operational needs.

Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, acceptable-use rules, or processing practices. Your use of certain RiftRec features may depend on those third-party services.

13. Service Availability and Changes

We may change, improve, limit, suspend, remove, or discontinue any feature, plan, integration, storage limit, upload limit, or part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that RiftRec will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every system, game version, region, server, or hardware configuration.

Beta, preview, experimental, or unreleased features may change frequently, may be removed, and may not work as expected.

14. Data Storage and Deletion

Uploaded videos, account data, review rooms, notes, drawings, chat messages, metadata, logs, and related data may be stored according to your plan, storage limits, account settings, and our Privacy Policy.

You may request deletion of certain account data or uploaded content as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleted content may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, moderation records, security records, or legal records where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or disaster recovery.

15. Termination

You may stop using RiftRec at any time. We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to all or part of the Service if we believe you violated these Terms, created legal risk, failed to pay, abused the Service, committed fraud, threatened security, infringed rights, or used RiftRec in a way that could harm users, NAOHEZI LLC, payment providers, infrastructure providers, or third parties.

After termination, your right to use the Service ends. Some sections of these Terms will continue to apply where their nature requires it, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute-related provisions.

16. Disclaimers

RiftRec is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, reliability, security, accuracy, and compatibility.

We do not guarantee that RiftRec will improve your rank, improve your gameplay, produce coaching results, capture every recording, avoid dropped frames, avoid data loss, work with every computer, work with every game version, or remain compatible with every third-party service.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important recordings and for testing your recording settings before relying on them.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NAOHEZI LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost recordings, lost rank, business interruption, reputational harm, or cost of substitute services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to RiftRec or these Terms will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to RiftRec for the Service during the last 6 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) the maximum amount that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NAOHEZI LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your User Content, misuse of RiftRec, violation of these Terms, violation of law, violation of platform rules, infringement of intellectual-property or privacy rights, or fraud or abuse connected to your account.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website, showing a notice in the app, sending an email, or using another reasonable method.

Your continued use of RiftRec after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the U.S. state where NAOHEZI LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules. Users may also have mandatory consumer rights under the laws of their own location that cannot be waived by contract.
