How to record a League game

  1. Download RiftRec and run the installer (Windows 10/11).
  2. Open League — auto-record is on by default, so RiftRec can detect supported matches in enabled queues and start on its own.
  3. Play — RiftRec captures the game and saves it automatically.
  4. Open the Videos tab to replay, clip or review your VOD.

From installation to your first useful VOD

Local recording, replay and match history are included in the free Windows app without a local-recording account requirement. Online storage and collaborative review have their own account and plan limits; check current plans before uploading.

Use Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with compatible graphics drivers. Allow space for the app, prerequisites and recorded matches; see current release and installation requirements. In RiftRec, check the queues enabled for automatic recording rather than assuming every League mode starts it.

  1. Set up recording and check a short test's video and audio.
  2. Compare settings and the measured capture example; choose quality that leaves headroom on your PC.
  3. Inspect optional cursor and click context, then use the review worksheet for one decision.

League recorder FAQ

Is this League recorder free?

RiftRec's free tier includes local recording, replay and match history. Local recordings do not include a RiftRec watermark.

How does RiftRec reduce recording overhead?

RiftRec can use supported AMD, NVIDIA or Intel hardware encoders. Performance varies by hardware and recording settings.

Why does click tracking request administrator access?

The optional click overlay requests administrator access to capture operating-system input reliably. Recording works without enabling it.
