If you've found content on RiftRec that violates our Terms or the law, this page tells you how to report it.

⚠ Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) If you've found CSAM on RiftRec, do NOT download or share the content. Email us immediately at abuse@riftrec.app with the URL and we will remove it within 1 hour and report to authorities. You can also report directly to the Internet Watch Foundation: iwf.org.uk/report or NCMEC: report.cybertip.org

How to report

Option 1: In-app Report button (recommended)

The fastest way to report content is using the Report button on the clip or user profile. This logs the report directly in our system and we respond faster.

Copyright infringement (DMCA-style notice)

If you believe content on RiftRec infringes your copyright, please send a notice to abuse@riftrec.app containing:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., "My streaming gameplay from Twitch.tv/yourname dated 2026-04-01")
  2. Identification of the infringing material, including its URL on RiftRec
  3. Your contact information: name, address, telephone, email
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

We comply with the EU Copyright Directive and respond to legitimate notices within 48 hours.

False reports are serious Filing a knowingly false copyright notice may result in liability for damages under Finnish and EU law. Make sure you actually own the content or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe the takedown was wrong, you can file a counter-notice. We'll restore the content within 10–14 days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

Users who repeatedly upload infringing content will have their accounts terminated. We track strikes against accounts and ban after 3 confirmed copyright violations within 12 months.

What we'll do with your report

  1. Acknowledge receipt within the timeframe above
  2. Review the content against our Terms and applicable law
  3. Take action: remove content, suspend the account, or escalate to authorities if illegal
  4. Notify the uploader (where appropriate)
  5. Notify you of the outcome
  6. Log the action for our transparency records
